Take Fewer Risks

Asks to retain possession first and foremost, playing a sensible and patient passing game without unnecessarily conceding possession.

Positive Feedback

  • Better chance of retaining the ball.
  • Feeds the ball into more creative teammates.

Negative Feedback

  • Player is less likely to create chances.
  • Less chance of player progressing the ball.

Standard

The player’s passing risk will be driven by the team’s passing strategy, their role and their own personal preferences.

Positive Feedback

  • Provides a balance between passing safety and risk.

Negative Feedback

  • Could benefit from a more tailored strategy.

Take More Risks

Encourages the player to play more low-percentage passes and through balls in the hope that one or two of them will unlock the opposition defence in a potentially decisive manner.

Positive Feedback

  • Takes advantage of player’s vision and passing ability.
  • Player may be able to unlock the opposition defence more often.

Negative Feedback

  • Higher chance of giving the ball away.
  • Less patience in attack.
